Tuesday can sometimes feel like the longest day of the week - last weekend is already lost in the depths of time, while next weekend still feels like ages away. Luckily, we’ve got a tasty solution and it all starts with tapas..
Here at Jorge’s, we’re happiest when we’re eating and drinking, so it figures that combining these pastimes is the obvious way kick Tuesday’s butt! Starting this March, ditch the cooking and washing up and get your friends and family together for a chilled evening featuring a fantastic tapas feast, drinks and good music.
While petiscos are the traditional style of Portuguese dish served at Jorge’s, we’ve decided to mix things up for one night a week so that you can enjoy a set menu of tapas-sized portions for a special Tuesday price of 5 dishes for £19.50! But although we’re going Spanish on the traditional size tapas plates, we’re staying Portuguese on the food.
Find it difficult to choose from a packed tapas menu? We’ve taken all the work out and handed the menu over to Chef Jorge for the night. Each week he’ll create five dishes based around the best ingredients available that week.
Expect a delicious selection of dishes featuring meat, fish and vegetables. You’ll find Portuguese favourites - from cod fish cakes and cured meats to prawns al ajillo and authentic piri piri chicken - mixed with special seasonal plates. If you opt to eat a vegetarian diet, just let us know when booking your table so that Chef Jorge can prepare a veggie tapas feast!
As always we’ll have an array of Portuguese wines and lager sourced from regional quintas and independently minded producers to sip alongside your food. If you’re not sure which vino to order, just ask us to recommend the best tipple to accompany the set menu that evening. Or if alcohol on a weeknight is a little scary, we’ve got a great range of soft drinks too!
