Portuguese “Wines”
Portugal produces some incredible wines and we are proud to offer an entirely Portuguese wine list. We will be happy to help advise which wines will complement your meal choices.
Vinho Verde - Green Wine
"Vinho Verde" are white wines from northern Portugal where the lush green valleys flow west into the Atlantic Ocean.
The vines grow high on pergolas to protect them from the humidity. In the Green Wine region, Alvarinho is king.
With crisp apple and citrus flavours, Alvarinho wine works well alongside a whole range of typical Portuguese dishes,
everything from seafood & fish to Piri-Piri chicken.
Muros de Melgaco 2018 - Alvarinho - £44
Wood aged and ripe with spice and smooth white fruits, the wine is intense and beautifully ripe. Very structured, with good, long acidity. Quite mineral with notes of grapefruit typical of Alvarinho.
House Selection - £24
Presents a lime juice colour and a clear appearance. This is a smooth and fresh wine with a delicate and fruity aroma, young and balanced.
Monólogo 2022 - Avesso - £36
Fresh aromatic profile, with notes of white flowers, thyme and a citric side to it, particularly passion fruit carapace. On the palate smooth and silky, with notes of guava and pear, along with a well-adjusted acidity.
Este Reserve 2022 - Alvarinho - £34
A dry but rich wine with tropical fruit, a pineapple backbone and is wonderfully complex. An indulgent finish that lifts your food to another level
Muros Antigos 2022 - Loureiro 2022 - - £32
Fresh and fruity with a dry finish. Floral aromas of variety with a touch of citrus. Lovely pale lime green color.
Monólogo 2022 - Chardonnay - £36
Straw yellow, bright colour. Intense and elegant, with distinct notes of fresh white pulp and orchard fruits. Good freshness giving a structure to the whole, involving, fruity with floral nuances, a persistent finish.
White Wines
DOURO
Casa Velha 2022 - £27
Blend of Portuguese Grapes
Pineapple, ripe melon and pear aromatics, on the palate notes of raw coconut, peaches and eucalyptus. The structure and a lively acidity are well balanced by a salinity and medium body.
Rola 2022 - £35
Viosinho, Rabigato & Gouveio
On the palate this wine reveals a very fresh and crisp grip, tickling the taste buds with notes of citrus and tropical fruits, with an extremely smooth yet vibrant almondy complexity with a long finish.
Rola Reserve 2021 - Blend of Old Vines - £44
With elegant touches of apricots and a weight on the palate only a Douro White can achieve. A rounded and well aged wine with a creamy, yet lively fresh and long full finish. May we suggest the Octopus ‘Lagareiro’ style.

Vinha Maria Reserve 2020 - £31
Touriga Nacional, Aragonez & Alfrocheiro
An intense and predominant white flower bouquet, underlaid by peach and citric notes. It shows an impressive structured complexity on the palate, despite it being so fresh. Fresh tropical fruit mingles with balanced, distinct acidity.
Jardim de Granito 2022 - £37
Terroir Blend
Citrine yellow color, with greenish nuances. It is a wine of great aromatic intensity, where it appears pear, pineapple and citrus, floral nuances and mineral notes. In the mouth it is very fresh and the fruity notes stand out again. It is a very harmonious, elegant and balanced wine, which enhances the Dão terroir.

Citrus-coloured wine with tropical aromas of pineapple and tangerine with a touch of fresh hay. On the palate, the wine is smooth and very fresh with a harmonious medium-long finish.

An engaging and vibrant wine! Fresh and elegant, combining with a stoney minerality and ripe fruit notes. A refreshingly white with an appetite for creamy sauces and seafood.
Esporão Reserva 2021 - £48
Antao Vaz, Arinto & Roupeiro
Aromas of ripe tangerine, honey and apricot with subtle notes of toast and smoke from the barrel fermentation. The palate is complex, creamy, showing ripe fruit flavours and mineral notes with a long, fresh finish.

Blueberries, plums and liquorice, wrapped up in a fresh spice that works perfectly with Chorizo. Fantastic tannin structure to this well balanced, medium-bodied wine.
Rola 2021 - 50 Year Old Douro Blend - £35
An old vines field blend. Complex structure, showing vibrant violet notes and concentrated dark fruit aromas, yet fresh red fruit on the palate with uplifting tannins making it extremely elegant. Full-bodied and great with Chorizo or red meat dishes.
Rola Reserve 2021 - 2020 - £44
Blend of Old Vines
Elegant, mouth-watering and full-on aromas. Showing the terroir off to its best, with a field blend of old vines. Intense dark fruit, camellias and violets, in harmony with hints of vanilla fudge from barrel ageing. Full-bodied, with a finesse to match, this is a serious red.

Mature dark red fruit aromas, deep and complex flavour with a powerful structure. Grapes from very old vines (over 80 years), aged for 15 months in French oak barrels with a further 18 months in the bottle before release.

Deep ruby colour. Notes of violet, eucalyptus and black plums. Deep, complex, but always with great freshness and elegance. Full of fresh fruit, liquorice and spices. Involving, dense, but with a remarkable harmony and balance.

Very deep colour. Perfumed floral aromas that combine ripe berry fruits, with ripe tannins and elegant acidity. The palate boasts a complex range of black fruit, violet, and mineral with warm integrated oak components and a very long aftertaste.

Baga, Touriga Nacional, Syrah & Cabernet Sauvignon
Intense, fresh and warm-hearted, herby red. With aromas of red fruits combined with freshly ground coffee and a cinnamon structure from partial oak ageing. Excellent and long finish with a full mouthfeel, and matching acidity, that cuts through grilled meats without a knife!

A juicy, fruit-forward red with character and well-balanced tannins. Tinta Roriz, also known as Tempranillo, gives the backbone, with the tannins stemming from the Castelão, combined with a softness that only Pinot Noir can provide.

Conde D'Ervideira Private Selection 2011 - £56 Trincadeira, Aragonez & Alicante Bouschet
A blend of Trincadeira, Aragonêz, Alicante Bouschet, vinified variety by variety. Aromas of red fruits jams, with hints of wood. Velvety, with an excellent structure and soft tannins. With nuances of mint and eucalyptus, it’s an elegant but complex wine.
Cartuxa Reserva 2016 - £72
Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alfrocheiro, Periquita, Moreto & Tinta Caiada
Dense, structured and powerful, the wine has layers of black fruits that balance the immense tannins. Aged in new French oak barrels for 15 months plus 15 months. Elegant, with good structure combining the aromas of the grape varieties used and conferring a persistent and complex flavour.
Pera Manca 2011 - £450
Trincadeira & Aragonez
Super-ripe plum and berry flavours but yet with enough freshness. Aged in oak for 18 months plus 36 months in the bottle in the Cartuxa Monastery cellars. Full-bodied, complex and elegant, with an aroma of raisin and notes of oak.

Smooth and glamorous! Expressing the elegance of Dao terroir superbly. Reflecting the lush gardens of red currants, strawberries and eucalyptus surrounding the vineyard and due to the gastronomic qualities of this wine, it pairs with most dishes, but we recommend red meat to enjoy it to its full.

Da Vinci 2020 - £41
Malbec
Deep coloured, violet, dark red and purple, with a very high concentration of mature dark red fruit aromas, black cherries and plums. The ageing in new oak casks concentrates the original mature tannins of the wine and helps smoothen its power, originating in a very elegant wine with great balance and finesse and a very long and fruity finish.

A young and fresh Rosé, with a traditional ever so slight petulance typical to the Vinho Verde DOC. A light in alcohol wine, making it a great low-calorie option. With oodles of cranberries, raspberries, strawberries and red apples, all combining with a crunchy lively acidity.

Beautiful blush colour, well balanced with a good acidity. Aroma of wild berries, characteristic of Touriga Nacional. A dry and fresh rose.
